Orioles-Jackson Baseball
CONGRATULATIONS to my boys on the 9/10 JBA Orioles. First game of the season and it's a win!!! 10-7 over the Cubs. Way to go guys! Thanks to my coaches for running everything while I handled the dreaded score book!

If you didn't notice this morning, there was snow on the ground.....and it's snowing right now. The warm up is coming.

Happy New Year!
Start Thinking Outdoors
Welcome to the new year! Yes, there is snow on the ground and we are getting into the heart of Winter, but this is the best time to start thinking about Spring. It will be here before we know it, and getting a head start will make things a little less hectic when 'Spring Fever' hits.
The same goes for commercial projects, not just residential.
Remember.....take time with the design.

Sauder Elementary-Landscape Renovation
(Completed through volunteer work and donations)
School is back in session and Sauder has begun it's new look! The new plantings (in this budget phase) were completed for the Open House at the school. I would like to thank Bob Schott (Sauder Dad) for coming to help with the planting and mulching. Alot of excess soil and mulch was removed to lower the bed heights as they had gotten high over the past years. The main trees and focal point plantings have been installed from the main entry doors to the left and back to the cafeteria. Mulch was installed in the new planting beds and just a light dusting was placed in the existing beds to add some color.
The renovation plan for the school is to provide a landscape which is low maintenance and does not get 'overgrown'. Many of you see the current plant material which remains, has been trimmed pretty hard-this is due to the fact that the plants are too big for the beds they are in, and if not controlled, will get very large. The new direction will eliminate alot of the maintenance and unsightliness that currently exists. Also, most of the flower pallette proposed consists of (school colors) purple, gold, and white.
These plantings used up our PTG budget for the year and we still have a ways to go. If anyone is interested in donating to help complete the plantings, please send your donation to the PTG with 'Landscape Fund' marked on the envelope. Thank you.

Thanks to the availability of some PTG funds and volunteer work, the landscaping at Sauder Elementary is in the process of a long needed renovation. The proposed plan can be view on the 'Projects' page under the commercial designs.
Thanks to the Jackson High School Seniors who donated their time during Senior Community Service Day. The students helped remove severely overgrown shrubs to make way for the new plantings.
Photos of the self-proclaimed 'Sauder Landscape Butchers'.....
Anyone interested in helping install or donating to help purchase more plantings, may contact Greg through the website. Any donations will be recorded with the PTG Treasurer and used soley for the landscape renovation project. Your support is greatly appreciated.
